Call for Papers ends on May 31 – Submit your presentation for DGK 2026 now
The 2026 Geothermal Congress (DGK) will take place from October 20 to 22 at the Kongresshotel Potsdam. With the official Call for Papers now open, preparations are in full swing for the most important gathering of the German geothermal community. Over 600 participants from academia, industry, local government, politics, and the field are expected to attend.
The DGK is regarded as the central platform for exchanging ideas on current developments in geothermal energy—from innovative research approaches to concrete project and practical experiences. The scientific committee therefore calls on researchers, companies, planning offices, energy suppliers, municipalities, and students to submit their contributions and actively help shape the conference program.
The focus will be on the following topics, among others:
We are seeking scientific papers, project reports, and practice-oriented presentations. Abstracts of up to 250 words may be submitted in German or English. Presentations are allotted 15 minutes, followed by a discussion.
Young researchers will once again have a platform: As part of the “Science Bar” bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses can be presented as posters. An independent jury will award the best presentation with the Young Researchers’ Prize.
Key deadlines at a glance:
All accepted contributions will receive a DOI number via Zenodo and may also be published in the digital conference proceedings.
Take this opportunity to present your projects, research findings, and experiences to an international audience of experts, make new contacts, and actively help shape the future of geothermal energy.
