The venue for the Geothermal Congress 2024 was the Kongresshotel Potsdam, a renowned and established conference hotel with excellent rail connections. Over three days, visitors were enthusiastic about over 200 presentations in the form of three to four parallel forums and workshops as well as exhibited posters and short poster presentations.

On Monday, October 21, participants had the opportunity to take part in two exciting excursions. Tuesday, October 22, and Wednesday, October 23, were the main congress days, while a workshop day toook place on Thursday, October 24.

The topics of the congress were varied and include deep, medium-depth and shallow geothermal energy as well as energy-storage. Energy and research policy were also discussed and best-practice projects presented.

The congress is aimed not only at those interested in research, but also at experts from industry, local authorities and planning offices.
