Prof. Dr.-Ing. Lamia Messari-Becker, civil engineer, professor at the University of Siegen. She teaches and conducts research on resource efficiency and sustainability in building and urban development and has international practical experience in leading positions. Messari-Becker was a member of the Federal Government's Council of Experts on Environmental Issues (2016-2020) and has been a member of the Federal Ministry of the Interior's Expert Group on Future Construction since 2018. In 2020 Messari-Becker was accepted into the Convention of the Bundesstiftung Baukultur as well as into the Club of Rome International, which is based in Switzerland.
